Social media is huge - no question. Platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, combined together, have several billion users, with many of them regularly asking for advice or recommendations. These suggestions quite often extend to products or services, which is where businesses must take note - there are business leads out there! There are leads coming from the social media channels which your business uses.
A couple of years ago, LinkedIn made a pretty bold claim that 80% of B2B leads come through the channel. Whether this figure is accurate or not LinkedIn is definitely an oasis for business to business leads.
Some businesses may not see a social media platform as being an oasis, but more like a mindfield. Others may not have the skills, the time or the inclination to use Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, in such ways that it can produce business leads.
